Prickly pear is a cactus found in tropical and sub-tropical areas of arid land. It is grown in the western and southwestern United States and in parts of Central America. The pad, or stem, of the prickly pear cactus is treated as a vegetable and used in dishes such as omelettes; the juice that comes from the pad is called “nopal juice.” The fruit of the cactus is used to make jellies, candies, and prickly pear juice. Nopal is rich in dietary fiber as well as in magnesium and vitamins A and C. For more information about the health benefits of this plant, see Prickly Pear.

We offer Nopal powder available as Conventional or Organic in a packaging specified by the Customer.
