Red Grape

The skin of a red grape is typically dark red, and often is covered with a lighter-colored epicuticular     wax “bloom” that can be rubbed off. It is a slip-skin variety, meaning that the skin is easily separated from the fruit. Red grapes contain fewer calories than green (white) grapes. They contain flavonoids, vitamins A, C, B6, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, folate, magnesium and selenium. They can be eaten fresh, but also popular for red wine, jams, jellies, juice makings.
