Blackberry

Blackberries belong to the same genus as raspberries, but are characterized by their black or very dark purple colors when ripen. They are composed of several smaller fruits (drupes) – known as aggregate fruit. Blackberries are one of the top fruits rich in antioxidants (mainly: anthocyanins) and packed with vitamin C, E and A. Blackberries are eaten fresh, but also are popular for use in desserts, jams, and other cooking.
