Concord grape gets its name from Concord, Massachusetts where it originated. Concord grapes are round, blue-black (deep purple) grapes with powdery bloom and thick skin. Concord grapes are rich in polyphenols and anthocyanins which we see as the deep dark blue or purple colors in which indicates a higher level of antioxidants than red and white grapes.
